Cwmaman Arts Centre occupies half of the complex previuosly Known as Cwmaman Public Hall and Institute.
For well over 100 years the building had provided a social gathering space for all kinds of activites from Sport to Theatre.

However Cwmaman Arts Centre is the Phoenix that has risen out of the ashes of the past to reprovide a facility that will support and provide facilities for the local population for Art performance and Crafts.
In March of 2018 a group of 8 Directors came together to form The Cwmaman Arts Centre after obtaining a lease for Unit 1 Of the Newly named, The Royal Cwmaman Hall, this Included the Foyer Reception, the Theatre, the Gallery and the changing rooms. Then after a year of planning, organising and obtaining of equipment and furnishings, the Theatre was opened on the 23rd of March 2019 with a Gala Variety show, attended by a greatly appreciated audiance and included some very important guests, such as Anne Clwyd the Local M.P. Victoria Howells the local Member of the Welsh assembly and Mrs. Linda Dee Vet Mayer for Aberdare.
